About WunderKeys™

A positive first experience in piano lessons is important to a student’s future musical enjoyment.  Every part of the WunderKeys™ program has been designed and tested to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.

The developmental abilities of 4-year-olds is very different than children 5 and older. There are many different concepts preschool students need to grasp before jumping into “traditional” piano pieces. WunderKeys™ preschool piano lessons are spent exploring the piano in ways the student is developmentally able.

At each lesson, the mother will observe and take notes for their child’s weekly practice assignments so they leave each lesson armed with the knowledge to help their young pianist practice. (Click here for the top 5 practice tips for effective WunderKeys™ at-home practice.) 

Lessons consist of mini assignments with the goal of the student grasping important concepts before moving to the “traditional” method books. Clapping rhythms, playing short patterns, working on strong fingers/developing a rounded hand shape, and ear training are just some examples of what is incorporated in this great preschool program!

A positive start in mathematics for young children is as important as reading regularly. The additional focus on math promotes positive feelings towards mathematics as well as gives preschoolers a head-start on the concepts they will encounter when they enter kindergarten.
